Tam-Zod is the only son of General Dru-Zod, born on the now destroyed planet of Krypton. He was once a soldier in Krypton's planetary army, but supported his father's at first political and then military battle to rule the planet.
Captured by the enemy and sentenced to imprisonment by the Council, Tam-Zod was exiled into a pocket dimension in the hopes that he could be reprogrammed into joining Krypton's forces against his own father. But Krypton's ultimate destruction prevented the Council from releasing him and for decades he has been locked in spatial limbo, waiting for his freedom.
Tam is roughly the equivalent of 28 Earth years old, has short brown hair, brown eyes and is approximately 6'1" tall. As Kryptonian, he has the usual abilities of his people when under the influence of a yellow sun: flight, superstrength, superspeed, invulnerability, super hearing, telescopic vision, heat vision and super breath; he is also vulnerable to green kryptonite and magic, as well as red kryptonite, which has the effect of stripping him of his inhibitions. As well, Tam is an experienced soldier, and is well versed in several forms of armed and hand to hand combat.
